NEW! Final Environmental Impact Report (published October 30, 2009)
The Draft EIR, published on January 30, 2009, assessed the potential impacts of the CWP and alternatives. This document, the Final EIR, consists of the revised EIR (Volumes 1 through 3: Executive Summary, Chapters 1 through 10, and appendices), as well as a comments document (Volume 4, Chapters 11 and 12) and a response-to-comments document (Volume 5: Chapters 13 through 14).
Additional comments on the FEIR cannot be considered as part of the EIR; however, the CPUC Public Advisor can accept correspondence regarding this matter. Any such correspondence will be included in the Correspondence File for this proceeding.

Draft Environmental Impact Report (January 30, 2009) The Draft EIR has identified significant environmental effects in the following areas: surface water resources; groundwater resources; biological resources; hazards and hazardous materials; geology, soils, and seismicity; traffic; cultural resources; air quality; noise; visual resources; land use; public services and utilities; agricultural resources; and energy. The Draft EIR identifies measures that could reduce most of these impacts to less-than-significant levels. Some pipeline alignments proposed under the project are near sites identified on lists compiled in accordance with Government Code Section 65962.5 (potential hazardous waste sites).

Notice of Preparation (Sept. 29, 2006)
CPUC’s Notice of Preparation on the EIR for the CWP; inviting resource agencies and the public to offer input on the scope of the document, which will detail the potential marine and terrestrialbiological, water/air quality, noise/vibration, visual/aesthetic, land use, growth inducing and transportation/traffic impacts of the proposed project and alternatives.
